Why use a Beverage Caterer?
I have
noticed at events in the past that the bar becomes the
focal point of an event, usually functioning from the start to the finish
of an event. The bar becomes an integral part in setting the tone of
an event and is a focal point for socializing. Alcoholic beverages should
be served and created by professionals who are enthusiastic about bartending
and take pride in making a great cocktail. A professionally trained
bartender specializes in guaranteeing that the guests are appropriately,
efficiently, and courteously accommodated. In order to obtain an
enthusiastic and properly trained bartender, the beverage side of the event is
best left to those who are talented and dedicated bartenders, like
the staff of Top Shelf.
Can
I use Top Shelf at a location that has a liquor license?
Yes,
but only if the licensee is cooperative. If the licensee is willing to
work with Top Shelf, they may surrender their license for the day, duration and
location of the event without cost to them and without jeopardizing their
license.
Can
I sell drinks at my event?
Usually
not. An exception is that if you are a legally recognized non-profit
organization then you may procure a special one-day license to sell drinks at
your own private or public event. Top Shelf provides services to many non-profit
organizations for fund-raising efforts. This year Top Shelf donated time,
equipment, experience and staff for 2 of the Santa Barbara International Film
Festival's events, Primavera Party Downtown, Los Dignitario's Fiesta Kick off
Party at the Santa Barbara Zoo, and Brandon's Wave (a local surf
competition fundraiser for cancer, started this year in remembrance of Brandon
Yates.)
