Operating Policies

Over the last 12 years we have found it necessary to post these simple operating policies:

  1. Our staff members are never to drink at your event.
  2. In any situation when a member of our staff feels unsafe, threatened or grossly disrespected, it is their right to refuse service and leave your event.
  3. All staff are required to leave their bags, belongings and cell phones in their personal vehicle.
  4. We will not ask our staff to engage in any act that we deem as unsafe, unprofessional or out of the normal and expected scope of the position they are hired for.
  5. Drug use by any staff member will result in automatic termination.
  6. No one under the age of 21 will be served. All guests who plan upon drinking alcohol based beverages must show a proper ID upon request. We understand that most of our events are a family based events and it would seem ok, but it is illegal to serve or share alcohol with a minor.
  7. Should an underage guest obtain an alcoholic beverage from a guest or a table, they will be asked to refrain and if it happens again our staff is advised to leave your event.
  8. If the staffed event is longer than 6 hours a staff meal is requested.
  9. If you do not have a proper coordinator/planner or catering company, we require the  hiring of an event captain to work directly with you and the rest of the vendors and services.
  10. If you book with in 1 week of the event date; complete payment is due in full immediately. No changes will be permitted for events booked within 1 week of the event date.
  11. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.
  12.  There is a 20% gratuity added to all service staff hours.
  13. For events that are outside of the Santa Barbara region, there is a drive time fee.
  14. When hiring a bartender, please take into account where the bar will be located. Will the bartender be in the direct sun? While a  caterer, servers and all other vendors have the ability to obtain shade for periods of time, a bartender can not leave the bar area to seek refuge from the sun. Please supply an umbrella if the bar will not be in a covered area.  We rent them and so do all of the rental companies in town.
